MercyFirst is currently seeking a Per-Diem Clinician (LMSW)!

 

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:   Masters Degree in Social Work with License Masters in Social Work (LMSW).   Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.  
 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  Clinical related experience in the assessment and treatment of children and families and relevant experience with child/adolescent.  Experience & knowledge of child/adolescent growth & development and families including child/adolescent development stages and family dynamics.

Brief outline of essential tasks:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients
  • Use accepted techniques of assessment and intervention demonstrating competency in trauma treatment
  • Assist in psychiatric hospitalizations
  • Provide leadership and clinical insight to treatment teams and provide clinical input into treatment planning
  • Prepare progress notes
  • Work collaboratively with other departments including Health Office, Care Management, AODs, etc.
  • Report behaviors believed to be symptomatic, emotional, physical, or psychological disturbances
  • De-escalate emotional and/or physical outbursts through the use of therapeutic crisis intervention
  • Understand and apply knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Supervise social work interns as assigned
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries
