POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing direct supervision and oversight of the program units and staffing.

 

 

Responsibilities
  • Adhering to and implementing agency policy and procedures and those of the Office of Refugee Resettlement;
  • Managing the operation of the living unit.;
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of residential programs.;
  • Supervising and providing a safe and secure therapeutic environment.;
  • Applying agency approved methods of behavior modification and therapeutic intervention which includes the Sanctuary Model.;
  • Assisting in role modeling the 7 Sanctuary Commitments and support an environment conducive to staff development in the Sanctuary Model.;
  • Overseeing weekly scheduling of Youth Support Counselor’s work schedule and overtime usage;
  • Demonstrating efforts to understand residents’ trauma histories and psychosocial factors and ensure all appropriate staff are educated as well. ;
  • Planning and providing training and supervision of Youth Support Counselors through staff meetings and individual sessions, or as needed based upon performance. ;
  • Implementing treatment team recommendations and working in a collaborative relationship with clinical and social service staff. ;
  • Monitoring and maintaining high standards of physical safety in the living unit as evidenced by monthly inspection reports, accident reports, investigation summaries, ORR required documentation, maintenance reports, critical incident reports and compliance with fire safety regulations.;
  • Completing payroll, supervision and disciplinary notes, performance evaluations, and monitoring benefit time. ;
  • Appropriate budgeting and utilization of program credit card
QUALIFICIATONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

Required-
Bachelors Degree with
minimum of 5 years experience or High School Diploma with 3-5 years of direct care
