MercyFirst is currently seeking a Transportation Youth Support Counselor!
(For our Brooklyn Facility)
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the assigned Supervisor, the Transportation Worker provides transportation needs for our clients in whatever capacity is necessary. Shifts assigned may vary and change according to Agency needs.
Brief outline of essential tasks:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients
- Safely transport clients, families, visitors as assigned
- Obey all traffic rules and regulations
- Demonstrate knowledge of human development stages
- Report behaviors believed to be symptomatic or emotional, physical or psychological disturbances
- Document clients’ behaviors and activities
- Secure required documentation before and at appointments.
- Reports all information to AOD and Health Office
- Maintain appropriate boundaries
