Program Director for Specialized Residential Treatment
Our unique program oversees the residential treatment of unaccompanied minors. Many of our children have had to flee dangerous and violent situations in their own home countries. Our program is named START WITH HOPE! The overall goal of our START program is to keep our children safe while assisting them in acclimating to the U.S. We find family members or others who are ready, willing and able to sponsor the children, allowing them to stay in the U.S.
Many of our unaccompanied minors have suffered devastating loss through trauma, violence, abandonment, poverty, substance abuses, or abuse. We have 3 main levels to our program: shelter, residential treatment and post discharge. We are seeking a Program Director for the shelter and residential treatment components. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of residential milieu, clinical treatment and casework. This position reports to the VP of Immigrant Services and oversees several supervisory staff. Outstanding internal team to work with! This program is funded through the Office of Refugee and Resettlement.
Education and experience requirements: MSW or related Master’s degree. 5 years related experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Preferred: Bi-lingual English and Spanish, but not required; Experience with management of government contracts helpful!
