BRIEF SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Program Manager for the (Pollak Program) is responsible for the operation of the living unit. Supervises and provides a safe and secure environment and applies Agency approved methods of behavior modification, including the point system, verbal de-escalation techniques and physical intervention, if needed. Shifts assigned may vary and change according to Agency needs.

Brief outline of essential tasks:
 

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients

  • Maintain consistent daily routines of the living unit in accordance with Agency policy and treatment plan

  • Keep appropriate staff informed of the relevant information and incidents within assigned unit.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of human development stages

  • Participate as member of treatment team

  • Ensure proper scheduling of YSC I and II staff and monitor same

  • Report behaviors believed to be symptomatic or emotional, physical or psychological disturbances

  • Document clients’ behaviors and activities

  • Hire, train, supervise and monitor the performance of assigned staff.

  • Review daily logs, accident reports, incident reports, etc.

  • Complete payroll tasks in a timely manner.

  • Implement and monitor all residents’ behavior management programs, residents’ allowance and savings, and unit expenses.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries

Qualifications
 

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus 2 years experience in youth work or with high school diploma related field plus 5 years in Residential Care. Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: With Bachelor’s Degree, 2 years’ experience in youth work required. With high school diploma 5 years in Residential Care required.
